Hey, everyone!

We hope you’re doing well and getting excited, because things are starting to come together! Now that addresses are locked and the bonus items are starting to arrive, we’re getting the shipping and order information ready with Quartermaster Logistics to start fulfilling very soon!

We’re still waiting on a few miscellaneous items to arrive from their manufacturers, but we expect them all in hand by the end of the month (fingers crossed). This includes a few of the stretch goal bonuses and “Ritual Kit” items. We’re excited to get them in; it's an exercise in patience…

In the meantime, our new campaign for WORLDS BETWEEN WORLDS: THE GRAPHIC NOVELS OF JONATHAN NKONDO is currently live! It features an excellent set of books by an amazing animation director and artist who has worked on projects such as SCAVENGERS REIGN, LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS, LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, and, most recently, the new animated short film/music video “The Mountain, the Moon Cave, and the Sad God” by Gorillaz. 

Whether you’re a fan of Gorillaz or not, you can’t deny the charm of hand-made 2D animation, and that new short film is beautiful. Jonathan’s hand in creating the “Moon Cave” sequence in the middle is an absolute standout. Human art FTW!

If you liked SCAVENGERS REIGN, you will love these books. The grounded, identifiable humanity of these surreal sci-fi stories carry the same storyboarded pacing and cinematography an DNA of that groundbreaking series

Hi, Everyone!

Hope you're having a wonderful winter (and staying warm... it's freezing out there! Literally!)

We just wanted to post a quick update to let you know about two things:

1) DIGITAL FILES HAVE BEEN SENT!

You may have already received an email notification from Backerkit, but if not, check your inboxes (or spam folders) this weekend. You can also check your Backerkit page directly by logging into https://space-relic-hunters.backerkit.com/.

Once logged in, you should see a big blue button in the middle of the page that says "Get Your Digital Downloads" -- click on that to see your personal links for each item ordered. (Granted, you will only see that button if you have finished your Backerkit survey, but if you haven't, that link will also walk you through the process.)

The books are hosted by Gumroad -- you will have to follow the (simple) instructions to use your unique codes to download your files from Gumroad for free. 😊

The physical books are on their way, expected to reach our warehouse in the week or so. The rest of the stretch goal bonus items are on their way too, and should be inhand soon. We hope to be able to start shipping in March, assuming no surprises catch us off guard...

To that end:

2) We've also initiated the Address Lock on Backerkit!

You should receive another email from Backerkit shortly stating that you have 48 hours to update your shipping address on file. If you aren't sure what address you used (or if you've even completed your survey), you can use the same link above to access the Pledge Manager.

If your address is current, you don't need to do anything. If you need to update your address but don't receive that email from Backerkit this weekend (check your spam folders), please reach out to us either as a message here through Kickstarter or by email at [email protected]. 

We are beginning fulfillment coordination with Quartermaster Logistics with the aim of shipping everything in March. 

We're traveling to France this week, and we hope to meet up with Sylvain Runberg to get the bookplates signed. (We'll coordinate with Grun to get his signature as well.) We won't be back until after the 7th, but we'll try to respond to any questions that come in while we're away. You can always email the customer support address above; they'll be online and responsive.

Orders locking this weekend!

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update to confirm that, as promised in the last update, we are locking orders this weekend. You should receive an email from Backerkit in the next 48 with notification to finalize your order before Sunday afternoon, at which point your survey will be locked so we can begin to organize data for fulfillment.

We'll process any balance charges due on Monday.

If you think you may need to change delivery address before shipping begins (estimated for March), let us know. We can make changes to your shipping address up until we lock addresses for shipping (estimated for late February).

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns! 

We're getting the bookplates printed now so we can bring them with us to France at the end of the month so that Sylvain and Grun can sign them. We'll share some photos once we have them!

Hey Relic Hunters -- HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I can't believe it has been this long since the last update, but here we are in a brand new year...! Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful holiday and you are starting the year on a positive note.  

We received FINISHED COPIES of the books, and they look GREAT! Unlike the previous update's pix, these are full printed (complete "guts")! Which means it’s time for FLIPTHRU VIDEOS!

Below you’ll find video walkthroughs of the final printed editions so you can see the paper quality, colors, finishes, and all the cosmic goodness exactly as they’ll appear in your shipment.

The above is actually a hardcover with one of the acetate sleeves (but the books are identical to the standalone hardcover).

Below is a flip-through of the new complete edition of ON MARS that was available as an add-on:

These books turned out gorgeous. We can’t wait for you to hold them. If you missed out on ON MARS, fret not -- you can still add one to your order on Backerkit! Just log into your campaign account at https://space-relic-hunters.backerkit.com/ and you can modify your order by clicking the "Edit Your Order" button at the top right of the page.

WE WILL BE LOCKING ORDERS THIS FRIDAY!

That means you will receive a message from Backerkit this weekend with a 48-hour notice to complete your surveys. At that point (probably Monday), they will charge your payment method for any balance due (eg. postage, new add-ons, etc). Please finish your surveys before this weekend! After that, you will have to contact us to make any further changes before we start fulfillment.

We will be locking addresses two weeks later (January 23rd).

We'll post another update at that time.

Assuming everything is in our warehouse by the end of February, we should be on track to fulfill in March as promised. Stay tuned.

STATUS UPDATE: WAITING ON EXTRAS

While the books themselves are on the water and expected to reach our warehouse in a few weeks, we’re still waiting on several of the bonus items currently in production with our vendors. This includes most of the Stretch goal rewards, Ritual Kit components, and specialty printed items (eg the bookplates, which we'll be bringing with us to France at the end of this month to get them signed by the authors...)

Most of these are already in the manufacturing queue, and we’ll share photos as soon as samples arrive. Once everything is in‑hand, we’ll move into the full packing and fulfillment phase.

Acetate Sleeve edition - dummy pix

Hey, everyone!

Things are rolling right along, and we were thrilled to get an advance proof assembly of the Limited "Sleeved" edition of the hardcover this weekend! Take a look --!

Each Sleeved edition will come in a fitted polybag (shrinkwrapping isn't recommended as it would warp the acetate sleeve). The sleeves fit GREAT, and add a layer of cool to the standard hardcover --

These are unprinted dummies, so the pages inside the hardcover are blank white, but everythign has been approved to print, so we should have printed advances soon. We'll be sure to post pix once we do!

There's still time to upgrade, if you'd like! While we set the limited print run, there are a handful left (we had to round up for the print run)... Let us know if you need help upgrading! Once we ship, these will be gone!
