Hi everyone,

A couple of quick updates:

1) For those of you who got the Limited Edition sleeved copy with the Ritual Kit, we have finally completed and distributed the audio component: 6 tracks of ambient focus music. You'll find a zip file of .mp3 files in your Backerkit for download. You should get an email notification of that new item link from Backerkit shortly. If not, you can always log back into your Pledge Manager page by going to https://space-relic-hunters.backerkit.com/. If you need help getting back into Backerkit, message [email protected] for help. If anyone is curious to hear these tracks, they will probably find their way onto streaming services in the next month or two...

2) UK and EU orders shipped last week! Some of you may have already received yours. We hope you like it! Everyone's UK/EU order should show up in the next two weeks, allowing for any local delivery timeline requirements.

Asia, Australia, and New Zealand -- we're waiting for confirmation from your respective fulfillment hubs, but yours should be in hand soon, too (if not already).

You've got reward points!

Hi everyone!

If you missed the mention on the campaign page, every pledge includes a number of Ambassador Points equivalent to your final order total, as if it were a purchase from our webstore. These are unique reward points that can be collected and redeemed for discounts and rewards on our webstore, and a great way to support Magnetic Press further (while building up a collection of cool books and stuff in the process)!

If you are already a webstore customer and part of the program, just log into your webstore account (which should be under the same email address as your Kickstarter/Backerkit account). You should see those new points added to your balance under the heading "SPACE RELIC HUNTERS KS points."

If you don't have an account on our webstore, your points have been tallied, but you will need to register for an account and then contact us to add them for you. 😊

We're still waiting on an update from our international warehouse partners who should receive all overseas inventory shortly (if they haven't already). As soon as we have some confirmation from those warehouses about shipping turnaround estimates, we'll post another update!

Shipping has begun!

Hi everyone!

Good news -- Quartermaster has started shipping pledges!

They have started with domestic North and South American orders and "Rest of the World" (regions not covered by any of the hub warehouses). You should get an email from them within the next week or so with tracking information.

International order inventory is headed for those respective hub warehouses (UK/EU, AU/NZ, and Asia) now and should arrive in a number of weeks. We'll post updates on hub progress as they arrive on the scene.

If you haven't gotten a tracking email yet, it may take them a week to get through all of the domestic orders. If you still haven't heard anything after that amount of time, you may want to check the status of your Pledge Manager on Backerkit by logging into https://space-relic-hunters.backerkit.com/ and making sure you have finished your survey. If you haven't yet, please do, and we'll get your stuff out in the next wave asap.

FYI: the digital audio that comes with the "Relic Ritual Kit" (part of the Limited Edition bundle) is still being finished -- we will post that digital download as soon as it's ready! Sorry for the delay!

Hi everyone!

A few of you have been asking, so here's the latest status on fulfillment:

We have received EVERYTHING (except one key item, which we'll explain below the photos). The stretch goal bonus items are complete, and they look great! Here's photographic proof of the things that have arrived at the warehouse recently:

So what's left? The signed bookplates. We got Sylvain's signature on all of them when we saw him in France in January, but Grun's schedule has taken him a bit longer. We expect to have those back from him by the 15th or 16th, and as soon as they arrive, the warehouse will hit the ground running with fulfillment. "But I'm not expecting a bookplate," you may say to yourself. Unfortunately, the warehouse has to tackle everything at once, so they can't split out those backers from fulfillment. They are fulfilling numerous campaigns a month, so we have to have everything ready for them to start anything.

Fortunately, when they do start, they're extremely efficient, so that final turnaround (of domestic orders) will be quick. (International order inventory will be on its way to the regional hub warehouses for fulfillment abroad rather immediately...)

We are also putting the finishing touches on the Ambient music track that comes with the Relic Ritual kits. We hand-bundled 718 kits last week (and in our haste forgot to shoot any photos before shipping them all to the warehouse... we've asked the warehouse to send us some pix, which we'll share if/when they do.

Assuming all goes well (and Grun is able to sign and return the bookplates as promised), we hope to start shipping this month! You've all been extremely patient, but it'll be totally worthwhile! The bonus artifacts are very cool... 😎

Progress report, and the next great thing

Hey, everyone!

We hope you’re doing well and getting excited, because things are starting to come together! Now that addresses are locked and the bonus items are starting to arrive, we’re getting the shipping and order information ready with Quartermaster Logistics to start fulfilling very soon!

We’re still waiting on a few miscellaneous items to arrive from their manufacturers, but we expect them all in hand by the end of the month (fingers crossed). This includes a few of the stretch goal bonuses and “Ritual Kit” items. We’re excited to get them in; it's an exercise in patience…

In the meantime, our new campaign for WORLDS BETWEEN WORLDS: THE GRAPHIC NOVELS OF JONATHAN NKONDO is currently live! It features an excellent set of books by an amazing animation director and artist who has worked on projects such as SCAVENGERS REIGN, LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS, LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, and, most recently, the new animated short film/music video “The Mountain, the Moon Cave, and the Sad God” by Gorillaz. 

Whether you’re a fan of Gorillaz or not, you can’t deny the charm of hand-made 2D animation, and that new short film is beautiful. Jonathan’s hand in creating the “Moon Cave” sequence in the middle is an absolute standout. Human art FTW!

If you liked SCAVENGERS REIGN, you will love these books. The grounded, identifiable humanity of these surreal sci-fi stories carry the same storyboarded pacing and cinematography an DNA of that groundbreaking series
